Williamson tuning up for County Am Championships

Paul WilliamsonONALASKA, WI - Paul Williamson appears to be ready for the La Crosse County Amateur Golf Championships.
The veteran left-hander won the Three Rivers Golf Association VPP Group/Big Sky Cattle Cedar Creek Open in dramatic fashion on Sunday with a sudden-death victory over Tom McClintock at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek in Onalaska.
Williamson, the only seven-time winner of the prestigious County Am, is a member at Cedar Creek, which also happens to be one of the County Am host courses. Williamson knows the course as well as anyone and proved it with an even-par 71. However, that was the same score McClintock shot, forcing a playoff. Williamson only took one hole to dispose of McClintock, another perennial contender for the County Am sport coat.
